This is a course intended for motivated students with an interest in developing some in-depth skills in the use of computers to process information. The course concentrates on creating reusable software solutions to information problems and the development of effective user interfaces for those solutions.
This elective is a useful choice for students who might wish to study Computing at VCE level, because it covers the use of some of the software used in VCE Computing. However, this elective is not a prerequisite for entry into VCE Computing studies, but students who have completed this elective will possess many of the software skills used in those studies. This elective may serve as a useful precursor to the ‘THINK Digital Futures’ Year 10 elective.
