Art - Printmaking is about exploring a range of printmaking mediums and techniques and creating artworks that communicate and express ideas or messages. The students explore the work of different artists and printing techniques including collage, mono-print, relief, multi-layered and digital processes to unpack artwork analysis and reflective practice.
The Course contains the following units:
An exploration of hand-made mono-print techniques.
Delving deeper into relief printmaking techniques and the creative process.
Exploring multi-layered printing techniques through stencil-based print mediums.
Each project contains practical, analysis, and reflection components. All are assessed with rubrics and an end-of-semester examination will test written analysis and creative response skills.
