ClassPad II commonly known as a CAS calculator (Computer Algebra System)
Students from Years 9 to 12 (with the exception of Foundation Maths) are required to have the Casio ClassPad 400 (FX-CP400) calculator.

Scientific Calculator
Although this is not a requirement, students in VCE mathematics can use both a CAS and a Scientific calculator. Many students also like to use them for simple calculations and they can be used in some other subjects where CAS calulators are not permitted, such as physics. The TI 30XB is available from the same supplier and is a suitable brand and model.
