Jim boarded at the College from 1943 to 1948, completing Form V. His father Ivan (OGC 1908-1908) also attended the College, as did his brother John (OGC 1932) Jim was a member of the music committee in his final year. Following school Jim went on to work in the wool industry, as a wool classer and buyer. He was married to Amy Helen and they have three children.
