Noted artist and author, Robert Ingpen opened the new Arts Centre building at the Preparatory School on Friday 28 April 1995.
Designed by Neil Everist and commanding views over the Barwon Valley the building features a steeply pitched roof with timber laminated beams and straw ceilings to create a sense of spaciousness. The building was originally configured with a Primary Room, a general Secondary area, Ceramics Room, Ceramics Sculpture Court, Foyer/Gallery and a staff office.
