BEST, Geoffrey Darrell (1932-2024)
Geoff attended the College from 1941 to 1949, and became a boarder in 1946. A member of Shannon House, Geoff coxed multiple winning House rowing crews. He was also a member of the school rowing teams including the 2nd rowing crew in 1948 and 1949. He was also a member of the 2nd XVIII football and athletic teams in 1940. He received multiples colours for House rowing, football and athletics.
Following school Geoff worked for Michaelis Hallenstein before moving to his own business. He married Arlette in 1958 and they have four children.
Geoff passed away 19 September 2024, aged 92 years.
