BROWN, Graham John (1949-2007)
Born on 8 April 1949 at Geelong, the son of Mr and Mrs A N Brown, he was a day student at Geelong College from 9 February 1961 to December 1966 after previously attending Chilwell State School.
He was called up for National Service, and served (No. 3797143) as a Private in South Vietnam with 86 Transport Platoon, Royal Australian Army Service Corps, embarking for that country on 8 October 1970, and returning to Australia on 31 May 1971. The Department of Veterans’ Affairs lists him with Vietnam Service (National Service) as a Private with the Royal Australian Army Service Corps Artillery.
He campaigned for the rights of Vietnam Veterans, and was President and on the Committee of the Geelong Sub-Branch of the Vietnam Veterans' Association up until his death in 2007.
