BELL, James Frederick (1889-1946)
James Bell was a day student at Geelong College entering in 1900 and leaving in 1907. His address at enrolment was given as Talbot St, Geelong. He had been born on 19 December 1889.
A brief obituary appeared in Pegasus in June 1946:
'James Bell, of Bellarine, died at Melbourne on April 23 (1946). He was in the College XVIII in 1906-7. As an expert on stock he became well known among Western District graziers' . He was also a member of the 1st Cricket XI of 1907.
His father, Alexander Singer Bell (1863-1936), was also educated at Geelong College.
