COLLIER, Allan William (1934-2016)


Alan Collier, architect, born on 24 February 1934, became a day student in Calvert House at Geelong College after attending Ashby State School. Allan was enrolled from 12 February 1943 to December 1948. At the time of his enrolment he was resident at 69 Preston St, Geelong West.

He graduated BArch from the University of Melbourne in 1957, practised with the architectural firm, Collier & Reid Architects, Ocean Grove, and lectured in the School of Architecture and Building at Deakin University. Pegasus reported that he had married Margaret Saywell at Geelong West on 27 May 1961.

A keen yachsman, Allan died on 18 November 2016, age 82 years, and was interred at Geelong Western Cemetery.
