CRAWFORD, Dr Robert Douglas (1938-2014)

Robert Crawford (Athletics 1956).Veterinarian, thespian and singer, ‘Bob’ Crawford lived in Horsham for over 50 years. Well known in the local community, he was a leader of the Sing Australia Horsham Choir, a member of the Horsham Orchid Society and a past President of the Horsham Rotary Club. At College, ‘Bob’ was a boarder, member of Calvert House, and performed in the Glee Club concerts returning to participate in the 2005 Reunion Concert. He played the character 'Nankipoo’ in 'The Mikado' of 1956.

‘Bob’ attended College from February 1952 to December 1956 and had previously attended Ballarat College. An avid sportsman, he was a member of the 1st Football Team and the Athletics Teams of 1956. He played cricket at the College in the seconds in 1955, captaining the team in 1956. He graduated from the University of Sydney. ‘Bob’ died at Horsham on 12 December 2014 age 76.
