EUMAN, John Holyoak, (1918-2010)
John Holyoak Euman of Colac, was born in Mumbai, India. His parents John Euman (1876-1955) and Kate Margaret Holyoak had married in Mumbai on 4 November 1917.
John became a boarder at the College from 31 May 1932 until December of that year after having previously been at Colac High School. His address at enrolment was Wilson St, Colac.
He lived in Colac and worked for the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SEC) and was associated with the Lake Colac Rowing Club and Colac Rifle Club. During World War II, he served as a sergeant paymaster with the Volunteer Defence Corps (VDC).
He died, age 92 years on 19 March 2010 and was cremated at Traralgon.
