GLARE, Ronald Henry (1925-2009)


Ronald Henry Glare, farmer, who attended Geelong College from 1939 until his Form II year in 1940, died on 5 March 2009. He won the Geelong College House of Guilds Prize in 1940. He was the only son of a World War I soldier settler at Willatook.

On leaving School he worked the family farm until the death of his father, when he moved to Airdrie at Hawkesdale, then to Wexford near Hamilton. His interests included shooting. He married and had three children and was residing at Lara at the time of his death.
