HAWKINS, Robert Simon
Robert Hawkins was enroled at Geelong College from 6 february 1985 to December 1990 and had previously attended Fyans Park Primary school.
He joined th Australian Army in January 1991, entering the Australian Defence Force Academy. After graduating with BA (Hitory and Politics) in 1994 he went on to completed his military training at the Royal Military College, Duntroon.
He has served on two deployments, the first as part of the International Force East Timor (INTERFET)) in 1999-2000, and the second to Aceh, Indonesia, as part of the relief effort after the 2004 Tsunami.
In 2008, he was in his sevententh year of service with the Australian Army, holding the rank of Major, and conducting long term training in Indonesia with the Indonesian military.
