HENDERSON, John Bowen (1936-1952)
John Henderson accidentally drowned on 1 November 1952 while taking the swimming test for rowers which was held in the Barwon River.
The son of Alec Boyd Henderson and Maureen Bowen nee Walters, he first attended Minhamite State School before entering Geelong College as a boarder from 12 February 1949. His address at enrolment was 'Greenhills', Minhamite.
