John Henry, journalist, joined the staff of the Geelong Advertiser newspaper in 1921 and was appointed Editor in 1951. In 1940, he wrote the Centenary History of Geelong for the Advertiser and produced its centenary issue. At one stage of his career he was a well known Radio 3GL commentator on VFL matches. He retired in 1972.
He attended Geelong College from late 1918 to 1921 becoming a member of the 1st Football VIII from 1919 to 1921 and the Athletics Team from 1918 to 1921.
