HILLS, David Stewart (1931-2013)
David Hills of Walkerville, South Australia was known throughout Australia through commercial advertising voiceovers though few realised it.
He was awarded the Town of Walkerville's 2013 Volunteer of the Year award a few days after his death. His wife, Jenny and daughter, Megan accepted the honour on his behalf a few days after his death. The award recognised his work as a member of the Friends of the Walkerville Library and as a Neighbourhood Watch area coordinator. He was educated at Ballarat College before boarding at Geelong College from 1947 to December 1948 as a member of Shannon House. He was a keen musician at School.
His brother, Richard Stewart Hills (1934-1980) also boarded at College. David died 12 May 2013 age 81 years.
