Andrew McKellar was born in 1963 to Doug and Margot of Mildura. He was enrolled at college as a boarder from 1978 Form III to 1981 Form VI. While boarding at Mackie, he was a member of Wettenhall and served as House Prefect. On the sporting field he played in the 1st XVIII and 2nd XI teams. He received house colours for hockey and cricket. Andrew also served on the House of Guilds Council and Library Council. He oversaw the printing department in the House of Guilds, assisting other students with their projects.

Following school, Andrew’s career included working for Holden. He was married to Nerrida.

Andrew passed away 17 January 2016 aged 52 years.
