MOUNTJOY, Harward Caleb (1930-2020)

Harward Mountjoy was born 19 June 1930 to Lawrie (OGC 1909) and May Mountjoy. He was enrolled at The Geelong College for four years from Form II in 1945 to Form IV in 1948.

Harward went on to work on his father’s farm near Hamilton before moving to a farm near Maude by 1963. He was married to Winifred and they had four sons who all attended the College: Gavin (OGC 1967), Murray (OGC 1969), Owen (OGC 1972) and Dale (OGC 1977).

Harward passed away 15 October 2020, aged 90 years. He is remembered for his farming innovation and passion for restoring land, tools and engines.
