McGREGOR, John Dugald Lyell (1898-1990)
John Dugald Lyell McGregor was born on the 31 May 1898, the son of John McGregor and Emily nee White, He was enrolled at Geelong College on 9 February 1914 and departed in December 1915. His address at enrolment was 'Morangarell', Connewarre. He had previously been taught by a Governess.
During World War I, he was attached to the 18 Battalion Reinforcements at the rank of Private.
He was reported in Pegasus of December 1918 to have called at the College when in Geelong on final leave, however he did not embark for overseas due to the demobilisation of the AIF. He returned to farming after the war.
He died on 16 January 1990.
