Kenneth Newland was born on 7 March 1930 and educated at Geelong College from 10 February 1944 to December 1946. He had previously attended Geelong High School and his address at enrolment was 203 Kilgour St, Geelong. At College he was the boys Under 15 Swimming Champion in 1945 and in 1946, equal 1st as the Under 16 Swimming Champion. He was also a member of the Relay Team in 1945.
He died on 21 April 2016.
