O’BRIEN, John James Selden (1927-2023)
John was a boarder at the College from 1945-1946 and rowed with the 3rd VIII rowing crew. Following school, John would go onto become an insurance agent based in Traralgon. He married Margery in 1951 and they have four children. In the 1960s John became the founding secretary of the Old Geelong Collegians Gippsland branch, a position he held for many years.
John passed away 2 July 2023 aged 95 years.
