The 'Peter Betts Memorial Trophy' is the perpetual shield awarded to the best player on the field in the annual First XVIII match held between The Geelong College and Geelong Grammar School.
The 'Peter Betts Memorial Trophy' is the perpetual shield awarded to the best player on the field in the annual First XVIII match held between The Geelong College and Geelong Grammar School.
First presented in 2004, the award is named in honour of Peter Lindsay Betts (OGC 1968) who was a passionate supporter of football at both schools and former President of The Geelong College Foundation.
Peter was married to his wife Kerry for 24 years and was a dedicated father to his three children Tom (OGC 2000), Nick (OGC 2002), and Sophie (OGC 2003).
