ANDREWS, Arthur Tremayne (1872-1932)


Arthur Tremayne, civil engineer, after whom the A T ANDREWS MEMORIAL PRIZE for MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE is named, was born at Geelong to parents Charles Andrews and Elizabeth Ann nee Higgins. He attended the School from 1889 and was a distinguished student both at the College and at Melbourne University where he studied civil engineering.

He worked for many years with the City of Geelong West.

He was the first of four generations of the Andrews Family to attend Geelong College.
