Elizabeth (Liz) Benson nee Cox attended Geelong College from 1976-1978, Form IV to Form VI. Liz participated in the rowing program, receiving Coles House Colours in 1978. Liz married Peter and they have three daughters. In 2009 they founded a sportshorse stud in Darling Downs, WA.

Liz passed away 17 June 2020, aged 59 years.
