Timothy Brockwell became a day student at Geelong College from 7 February 1946 to December 1950. His address at enrolment was 'Westward Ho', Barwon Heads. The son of Sydney Alfred Brockwell and his wife, Margaret Bessie nee Murray, he was born on 14 April 1934. At College, he was a member of Morrison House and the 1st Football XVIII of 1950.

From College, he attended Dookie Agricultural College gaining a Diploma of Agriculture in 1954.

He retained his life long devotion to football as President of Moulamein Football Club 1965-70, President of Kerang and District Football League 1971-72 and Secretary of Tallangatta and District Football League. After moving to Thurgoona, NSW he continued his community involvement as a President of Thurgoona Lions 1986-87, and President of Thurgoona Residents' Association 1979-82.

Timothy died at Wodonga on 10 September 2018 aged 84 years.

His brother, John Brockwell was also educated at Geelong College.
