CHARIOT

The Chariot was the nickname given to the charabanc that was used to transport students for a variety of activities including to sports training, the Barwon River, Railway Station and local matches such as those at Geelong Grammar. Pegasus noted that it was to be replaced in 1909 after service of 32 years. Its replacement was in use until at least the 1920s when it was finally replaced by motorised buses.

From about 1913 until his death in 1924 the white horse 'Colonel' usually pulled the ‘Chariot’.
