Peter Linton Cox was born in 1956. He was enrolled at Geelong College for his final two years at school, starting Form V in 1972. He was on the baseball team, serving as their vice-captain in 1973.

After working in Geelong for many years, he and his family moved to Seymour where life he worked for the Federal Government in Asset Services at Puckapunyal and later owned an electrical store in Seymour. He was a supporter of local community groups including the local radio station and football netball club.

Peter married Christine (dec) and they have four children, Andrew, James, Megan and Samuel.

Peter passed away 1 October 2019, aged 63 years.
