GRAINGER, Arthur Alfred (1925-1992) staff member joined the School at the commencement of second term, 1958 as Senior Chemistry Master, a position he continued to fill till his retirement at the end of 1982. He also became Head of the Science Faculty, and was a very thorough and successful teacher of many students over the years. In the school community as a whole he is remembered as Quarter-Master with the Cadet Unit, a position which brought him into contact with all the cadets particularly at the annual camp. He held the rank of Captain. For some years he was Head of Calvert House and he coached teams in a number of sports, in particular taking charge of the students who nominated golf as their sport. Two sons attended the College.
