KENNEDY, Norman Leonard (1893-1976)


Norman Leonard Kennedy was born on 19 October 1893 and attended Brim State School before becoming a day student at Geelong College in July 1910, leaving in December 1911. His address at entry was 'Thornbury Grange', Highton.

During World War II, the Nominal Roll records that he enlisted (No. V80506) at Mildura on 5 October 1939. He gave his address as Cliffside, Victoria and his birth as 19 October 1893 at Warracknabeal. He was discharged on 13 October 1939. There is a second enlistment (No.V91607) at Mildura on 7 January 1941 but no discharge date. His posting at discharge was 3 Garrison Battalion. He is not known to have had overseas service.

His brother, Leslie Errol Kennedy (1895-1971), was also educated at Geelong College.
