Check birth date?? The youngest son of Andrew McFarland and his wife Jane nee Archer, Eric McFarland was enrolled as a boarder from 1896 to 1904. He, like his two brothers before him was a talented sportsman.
Eric was a member of the Football Team, 1901, 1902, 1903, and Captain in 1904. He was also a cricketer in the teams of 1902, 1903, and 1904. He cemented this sporting ability in rowing as the senior boat crew’s Stroke 1902, 1904 and Captain of Boats from 1902 to 1904. He won the Geelong College Cup in 1904.
