McMILLAN, David Marshall (1937-2017)


David Marshall McMillan, farmer of 'Caldermeade', Wakool, NSW, born on 12 September 1937 and the son of Alexander Walton McMillan and Phyllis Mary nee Marshall, was educated at Trinity Grammar School before becoming a boarder at Geelong College from 12 February 1948 to December 1954. His address, at the time of his enrolment, was 3 Daracombe Avenue, Kew.

He served in many community organisations and at various times was President of the Southern Riverina Picnic Turf Club, Director of Wakool and Distrist Services Memorial Club, Captain of Barham Country Golf Club, and Chairman of the Wakool Parish Council.

He died at Deniliquin Hospital on 6 February 2017, in his 80th year.

His brother, Alexander Rowan McMillan (1939-1996), was alo educated at Geelong College.
