McPHEE, Neil Raymond (1929-1998)
Korean War veteran, barrister and Queen's Counsel (QC), Neil McPhee has been a notable Collegian.
Born at Taree, New South Wales on 25 November 1929, his parents Neil Nicholson McPhee and Elizabeth Ethel nee Hart enrolled Neil at Manifold Heights State School before sending him as a day student to Geelong College from 15 February 1940 to December 1946. His address at the time of enrolment was 17 Strachan avenue, Manifold Heights, Geelong.

in 1976 noted that:
'Neil McPhee, Queen's Counsel, became a member of the Council of the City of Melbourne at a by-election held in November, 1975.’
He died on 16 October 1998 at East Melbourne.
