Stewart Scott was born to James and Jean Scott (nee Rymer) in 1941, a twin brother to Alan Scott (OGC 1955). The boys both were enrolled by their father as boarders to the College in 1951, Form LIVB. Stewart played in a number of football teams, from at least the U14, U15 and U16 football teams before making the 2nd XVIII team in 1958. In his final year at College he received Shannon House Football Colours and is listed at one of the Seconds best players.

After College Stewart returned home to Tocumwal before jackarooing in Queensland. In 1965 he married Joy Hare, and they have four children. Stewart farmed at Tocumwal at the family property from 1964, mainly growing wheat.

Stewart passed away 14 March 2021, aged 79 years.
