STEWART, Rev Alexander James (1876-1961)

Alexander James Stewart was born on 13 May 1876, the son of John Stewart and Mary nee Webb.

He was enrolled as 'Alex Stewart' at Geelong College in 1896.

Pegasus reported his death in June 1961:
'The Rev James Alexander Stewart was 84 when he died on April 10. He entered the ministry after training at Ormond College, and spent 55 years in Victorian parishes - the last 22 at Preston.'
