SURVEYING (Subject)

Surveying was briefly introduced in 1914 for students going on the land. They were taught the ‘accurate use of the chain, computation of areas of subdivisional paddocks, volumes of tanks, sheep dips and waterholes, use of the level, and laying out of drainage channels’ .
