THOM, Brian Geoffrey (1936-2019)

Born 24 February 1936, Brian Geoffrey Thom was enrolled at Geelong College from 1950 to 1953. He was an engaged student, playing in the cricket and football teams, and appointed the Knowle House Prefect in 1953. After school he would go on to pursue a career in accounting, retiring from the Capital Building Society in 1994.

Post his College education he remained involved in the life of the school, serving on the College Council from 1975 to 1987. He was also President and Treasurer of the Old Geelong Collegians’ Association. He was recognised as a Fellow of the OGCA for his dedication and contribution to the College.

Brian passed away 30 August 2019, aged 83 years.
