ROBERTSON, William Cargill (1925-2011)
William Cargill Robertson first attended Geelong High School before becoming a day Student at the College from 1940 to 1941 where in 1941 he played for the 2nd Football XVIII and was a member of the Cadet Corps. ‘Carji’ completed an apprenticeship as a fitter and turner before gaining a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Gordon Institute of Technology. He later worked with the NSW State Rail Authority.
A keen tennis player and skier, he was chairman of the Geelong Ski Club (Mt Buller) in 1963.
He died at Sydney on 14 March 2011.
