SAXTON, John Oliver (1936-2008)


John Oliver Saxton, known as Oliver, was a student from 1948 to 1954. Previous to attending College, he had been a student at Moe State School. He was a member of the 1st Rowing VIII in 1953 and 1954 as well as the 1st Football XVIII in 1953 and 1954. A School Prefect and Shannon House Captain in 1954, he was also a member of the Music Committee and a Cadet Unit Officer. In 1953, he won the Alexander Coto and John Coto Prize, an academic prize awarded for consistent work.
