SCOTT, Alan Rymer (1941-2026) OGC 1955

Alan boarded at the College from 1951 to 1959. He was a keen sportsman and achieved across sports from athletics, football and rowing. He won the E R Sparrow Cup in 1955, the U14 athletics champion. He joined the 1^st VIII crew in 1958 and 1959. He was captain of boats when they rowed to victory in the Head of the River in 1959. His efforts were awards in with multiple Shannon house and school colours.

Following school, he went on the farming and grazing at Tocumwal. He married Jan and they have three children.

Alan passed away 25 January 2026, aged 84 years.
