Lachlan Simpson (Rowing 1945).

Lachlan Neil Simpson was a pupil at Murtoa Promary School before entering Geelong College as a boarder from 12 February 1943 to December 1945. His address at enrolment was Cromie St, Rupanyup. At College he rowed with the 3rd Rowing VIII in 1944 then became Stroke of the 1st Rowing VIII of 1945. A member of Shannon House, he was also a member of the Rowing and Tennis Committees.

Born on 21 November 1927 he was the son of Lachlan Lewis Samuel Simpson and Clarentine nee McArthur. After leaving College he worked in the Life and Superannuation Consultancy industry.

Lachlan died on 14 July 2017.
