‘Phil’ Sloan attended Belmont State School before continuing his schooling at Geelong College from February 1945 to December 1949 as a member of Shannon House. He later worked with the ANZ Banking Company. ‘Phil’ of Kingston, Tasmania died on 3 May 2015, aged 81 years.
