SPARGO, Raymond ‘Ray’ William (1921-2010)
Ray was at the School from 1930 to 1938 becoming a lance-corporal in the Cadet Corps.
He joined the RAAF in November 1943, initially training at Mt Gambier and Sale and then England before becoming an Air Gunner with 466 (Halifax) Squadron during which he flew 36 missions from Driffield. He left the RAAF in September, 1945. He died at Camberwell age 88 years.
