STEWART, James ‘Jim’ Robert (1928-2010)
'Jim' Stewart, farmer and grazier of ‘Arrandoon’ near Stratford, was a student and boarder at the College from 1944 to 1946 gaining House Football Colours in his final year. An active community member, ‘Jim’ was a councillor for many years of the Shire of Avon and its president from 1977-1978 and 1985-1986. He was also a former president of the Gippsland Sheep Breeders Association and Stratford Apex Club.
In his later years he was a keen bowls player and the Stratford Club Champion of 1993. He died at Gippsland Base Hospital, Sale on 15 June 2010, age 81 years.
