TROETH, Trevor John (1952-2020)Trevor Troeth boarded at the College from 1965 to 1969, starting in Form I. In 1969 he completed his Leaving Technical Certificate in 6 subjects. A member of Warrinn House, Trevor contributed to their sports competitions and received House Athletics Colours and House Rowing Colours. In 1968 he was on the Cross Country Team and then in his final year served on the 2nd XVIII football team and 3rd VIII rowing crew.
After finishing school, Trevor returned to the family property at Heywood and established himself as a grazier. He became a sheep breeder and prime lamb producer. Trevor is known, alongside Ian McDougall, for bringing the Ile de France sheep breed to Australia having bred Poll Dorsets for many years. Trevor was also a well-known clubman at the Heywood Football Netball Club.
Trevor was married to Helen and they have four children. His brother Russell also attended the College (OGC 1951).
Trevor passed away 4 February 2020, aged 67 years.
