TURNER, Alexander Barry (1913-1999)
Barry was born in 1913 to William and Lavinia Turner of 6 Miles Street, Bareena (Newtown). He was enrolled at The Geelong College as a Day Student from September 1927 having previously attended Geelong Hight School. Barry was in Morrison House. He came second in his class in 1928 and placed first in the Under 16 High Jump in 1928.
Barry married Kathleen McBride in 1941 at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Echuca. They had two children.
On 12 July 1999 Barry passed away aged 86 years.
