WADESON, William George (1894-1941)


William George Wadeson was born on 3 October 1894, the son of William Alexander Wadeson and Christina Agnes nee Dunlop.

He was enrolled at Geelong College in 1908 with an address of Bannockburn, Victoria.

During World War I, he enlisted (No 20342) in the AIF at Hawthorn and embarked with the September Reinforcements on HMT Canberra from Sydney on 16 November 1917. He served with 2 Signal Squadron, 1st Anzac Mounted Division in Egypt, Sinai, Palestine and Syria, until his return to Australia on HMT Burma, embarking on 26 July 1919.
