Donald Stanley Wood, born on 29 December 1914, was enrolled at Geelong College on 10 February 1926 as a day student, continuing at College to December 1931. His entry address was 400 Ryrie St and he had previously attended Swanston St State School.
In 1931, he became a lance-corporal in the College Cadet Corps, a member of the Debating and Pegasus Committees (1930-31), and a School Prefect. An outstanding student he was awarded 1st Prize in the Honour VI Forms of 1930 and 1931 in English and History becoming College Dux in 1930. That year he also won the Junior Debating Prize.
Don died on 6 May 1984.
