Denis was educated at the College, starting at the kindergarten in 1954 and completing Form V and his Leaving Certificate in 1966. At the Preparatory School he often placed in the school sports competitions such as athletics and swimming. In 1959 he equalled the school report for the Under 10 75 yard sprint, 10.5 seconds. He was also a valued member of the athletics, cricket and football teams and received multiple McArthur House colours as well as athletics cap in 1964.

Following school Denis went on the study Accountancy & Finance, Real Estate (Commercial) as well as Business Administration. He went on to build a successful commercial property portfolio and was a well-respected landlord and businessman.

Denis passed away 5 March 2025, aged 75 years.
