Andrew attended the College from 1978 to 1983, completing Form I to Year 12. His brother Rod (OGC 1973) also attended the school. Andrew was a member of Coles House and received multiple house colours for athletics, cross-country and debating. He was also a member of the athletics team for three years.

Following school Andew went on to study mechanical engineering and management. For many years he lived overseas before returning to Australia. He was married to Louise and had three children.

Andrew passed away 11 December 2024.
