AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS

One of the first and best known aerial photographs of the School was taken in about 1928. It shows the original cricket pavilion, hospital, chemistry laboratory behind Morrison Hall and the tennis courts on Noble St. The first Preparatory School is out of the picture on the right hand side.

Of particular note, is the extensive garden facing Talbot St. At that time, this was the Principal’s private garden. An aerial photograph of the School published in Pegasus in May 1920, unfortunately provides little definition. Some thirty years passed before the next known aerial photograph was taken in about 1955.
